Hello, I'm an Italian guy (sorry for any mistakes) that would like to tune his scooter. I got really attached to my Scarabeo 100 2T (2000), and i i wanted to "spice things up" a bit. The scooter already has got 20.500 km. I already own a Malossi Variator MULTIVAR 2000 (10g rollers) and a Tecnigas pipe for minarelli 100cc. I wanted to install a Malossi Cylinder 124 cc (This: https://www.scooter-center.com/it/cilindro-malossi-124-ccm-sport-minarelli-ac-100-2-tempi-m311374) but I have some questions: - What carb should i put along with it? - It says on the site of the cylinder that the cylinder head is not included, does this means I have to use the original one? - Should I buy Malossi primary gears too? (This: https://www.malossistore.co.uk/primary-gears-htq-z-1542-aprilia-scarabeo-100-2t-6711486-apsc100-M-P) -Is it raccomended to change Crankshaft after 20000km? Sorry again for any misspellings and thanks in advance.
Hello and greetings. There are many carbs you could use but the Carburettor Kit MALOSSI PHBG is excellent. If the cylinder head is not included you will have to use the original unless you buy an new one. If you buy primary gears it should give you a marked performance increase. 20,000km is a pretty significant mileage - it certainly would be prudent to replace the crankshaft. Good luck and let us know how you get along!
Thanks a lot for the immediate response bud, i really appreciate it because I asked on an Italian forum and noone has responded in 10d. I have some problems finding a crankshaft because (as always) the Scarabeo 100cc is not in the compatible vehicles and there are only the 50cc variants (which should have the same frame) but i really don't know if it would really fit. This is the one I'm looking at: https://www.scooter-center.com/en/c...cc-horizontal-for-10mm-gudgeon-pin-r100030031 and it's in the "Customers who bought this item also bought" section of the cylinder i previously mentioned but the crankshaft stroke and the gudgeon pin diameter don't match. I don't really know where to look to find out if that crankshaft works for me too...
No worries buddy! Try https://www.pedparts.co.uk/category/crankshafts-crank-bearings-and-seals They are also very helpful on the phone. I wouldn't like to guess which crankshaft would be best for your bike. It's better to call them if you are unsure and they should point you in the right direction.
