really stuck for ideas now .. tryed a 75,68,65,62 jet

it did it less on the 68 and 65 jets

    but still doing it..

as said above ^^^ it doesnt cut out just splutters loads when holding the choke in

    cheers

rite.. ive deffinatly narrowed it to clutch springs or some kind of transmission

    because:

    1. it doesnt bog if u let the revs go below the 5 mph mark.. (when the revs quieten down)

    2. the bike doesnt build revs before it moves (just moves as soon as u move the throttle

    3. u can feel the vibration of the clutch pads binding before they are supposed to

i am running 3.2g rollers and dopper very hard clutch springs

    :wtf:

have many of u guys seen sports setups with super hard springs ?

    cheers

i know this clutch is brand new, but try the old clutch, just in case

go to 4.5 on rollers and stick a medium set of springs in on the old clutch then give it a bang.

try the medium polini ones you've got, if the springs are too stiff then as the wheel puts resitance on tha transmission the revs might drop off andso the clutch wont bite.

    old clutch, medium polini's ;)

i reckon with the old clutch and medium polinis, a set of 4.5s and get the carb near enough perfect, if its still not right take a look at the clutch bell

rite got standard clutch in with polini yellow springs in.. then to find .. my airbox was not on there properly lmao.. so it sucking in shed loads more air.. but i sorted that and seems soo much better..

just gotta tweak the air mixture ..

but.. when i go down the road at quarter throttle and open it right up

it doesnt seem to go much quicker? asif its holding back but not spluttering etc

maybe needs a bigger jet ?

    help apreciated

    cheers

    ben.

EDIT: also it still will NOT start unless i use cold start spray and i got a new battery.. still wont start without it?

it will actually run fasted if its slightly lean unless its to lean and then it would just bog i would of thougt. May be the jet is to big?

Because you said it doesnt splutter i think transmission related. Fit a stronger contra spring made my throttle more reactive at high speeds

    BOOM! carbs done..

i do need slightly stiffer springs and will fit them asap

but the carb seems to be fine

i moved the needle up 1 notch bigger jet

air mixture out 2 turns.. and all is good

    cheers guys
(jus gotta tackle my starting problem .. in workshop section)

    loool.. oooorrrrr not :msn1:

when the idle dies down.. open her up from stand still.. and it rockets away... right the way to the stop with no flat spots.. but while im moving.. if i let off the throttle and back on.. its bogs right down ??

    im thinking too much fuel?

    cheers

    ben.

im kind of having the same problem mate but mine doesnt really bog just delayed acceleration when i get back on the power.

i think it is because of the contra spring, i have a white polini one on at the min and a blue one also come with it so i believe this is what i need on

    what u fink?
