I have a few questions to ask 1. Is there a big difference between the sport and the malossi mhr. 2. Can i run the mhr on a 17.5mm carb
1. yes quite a bit of difference 2. yes you could...but to get the best out the kit 21-25mm needed really.. ideally cases need to be opened up on rep to match transfer feeds as well!! I would go with the sport if your not handy with engines
1st of all you wont really be rideing at 30 for too long...1st 50 miles or so... after that you should be able to cruise along at 40ish and still keep the revs down on a 70.. my Runner 50 used to do 60mph clock speed....(about 50mph real) with a 70 kit itll do that easy with the mrs on the back too thats the difference!!!!
personal preference really... But ive been running a polini sport for the last 7 months and i cant fault it... its been 100% reliable....and goes really well too/ even 2 up as described earlier
it wont be a proper wheelie machine no, dunno if it will power wheelie, but will be easyer to get the front end up with the extra power and u will notice a big difference in acceration, well worth it.
hi mate, i was in exactly the same situation as you a couple of months back. i said that i couldnt be bothered to wear a 70cc kit in etc. bit i went ahead and got one fitted along with a polini 21mm carb and racing crankshaft. i was dreading the wearing in but it wasnt as bad as i thought. when you first start off it is kinda really slow but just stick to 30ish for 50/100 miles at halfish throttle. then gradually increase the revs the more miles you do but be careful of ragging it. ive done 380 miles so far and i only started going 45/50ish since 300 miles. but i have taken it very carefully. i was also told to full throttle every now and again to loosen it up and when i do its sooo much fun seriously mate, if its fitted properly and you run it in correctly you will love every second when you have a 70cc kit
i have a basic sport setup with an iron kit and it will power wheely cold/hot/raining any weather really and easily from 0 - 25mph, my setup if fairly high revving I suppose with 4.1 gram rollers and a laser so if you fit your polini kit on properly and run it in and whatever I cant see why it shouldnt be a beast for wheelying
what clutch springs u using mate? mine need changing as from 0 to 20mph my bike just hardly moves with 3.5gram rollers in.
on my bike i have: laser x pro chrome, malossi multivar and fitted the contra spring (pain in the ass) fitting e5 airiflter 2 moro and upjetting it and i have 4.7 g malossi rollers mate. will the 4.7g be to heavy i also have 4.4g
good lad, i beat a dxr125 at the lights the other day, that was when my throttle wasnt sticking just be careful with the feds coz they will fook u up the bumhole if they find out. glad i helped though mate, if you need out just ask or gis a pm
wel that was until i couldnt go over 50mph (due to wearing in of engine) he then shot by me, clearly he was just doing it for principle although we was in a 30mph limit :emb: (of course im re-stricted to 32mph officer :nerd:
