Hi all! A mystery for me, what has happend and why, and how to fix engine block detrition? Water pump and oil pump both turn freely and the belt is fine. I know the gear, water pump axle and the oil pump have to be replaced. The only indication was a slight rattling noise (thought it was the rollers) and few days after that the engine temperature startet to rise high so the water stopped circulating.

The water pump looks fine? Oil pump looks like it's failed and jammed. The oil pump is driven by the cog so the only way it could shear is if the oil pump is resisting the rotation of the cog. Temperature was probably the engine wanting to seize lol

There was a 50cc Runner water pump axle installed which is some 5mm shorter than 180 axle so the cog was loose and contacted the engine housing etc and started whobble around.
