not with the stage 6 gears as they come with a pressed ley shaft replacing thew original secondary gear with one of the same tooth.. the others require a press but its not too difficult to do without, just takes lots of heat/a puller a peice of nylon and a copper hammer on second thoughts just press it, took me an hour the bodge way
nope...as minor said stage 6 gear ups come ready pressed makes it a nice simple job, just replace 2 cogs (so to speak) and your way
ok... fitted gear up kit this afternoon no piccys yet, been for a spin....nice straight cut whine coming from gearbox!!! sounds like a touring car now still got to adjust roller weight and upload the piccys
someone asked for me to take pictures of fitting my gear up kit, as they wanted to fit one themselves in the near future click on this link for pictures http://capridave.piczo.com/gearkit?cr=6&linkvar=000044
nice 1 capri dave maybe one of the lovely admins would fancy posting that in the guides section oh yeah thats one sexy looking transmission btw
That does actually describe the process. Looks easy to do IMO. In removing the gearbox did you empty the gearbox oil first and where does that come out? And also, isit just the bolts on the inside of the transmission casing you remove and the whole thing comes out? Looks good with ya stage 6 bits in
sorry to spam but do te pmtuning ones come ready pressed ? i was thinking about gettin a gear up for my rox didnt really fancy it though as i dont even know what pressing the gears means
just the stage 6 gear kits come ready pressed, all the others require the old gear pressing off and new one pressing on
look at that for a wanking muscle :w00t: i love the sound of straight cut gears unk: bikes coming along well dude, really do like this runner, and this runner only, looks the tits and im sure it goes like fuck
can i just ask how u start ur runner with 1 of those stage 6 tranny bits as they dnt have teeth sorry if this sounds stupid
The missing teeth on the outer frt pulley mean no eleccy start!! The kick start still works though, as that grips onto the centre of the pulley
woops he was on about the outer pulley, i thought he meant the gears, my bad, ignore me, i own an aerox
