still useing the x-pro and 20.5mm carb...and i had to send my stage6 gear-up back as i ordered the earlier one by mistake :emb:

But!!!! i havent really ragged it yet, and its not set up properly yet,

so far seems really really torquey...and sounds different too :D

in the words of my son "if you didnt know, you would think it was a 125 when you see it go"

been playing with engines for about 20 years.. had a smart dad and alot of shit cars when i was real young so learnt a fair bit, then started with bikes an it just went from there... havent really been playing with scoots all that long tbh

but ye enough spam, dave, try grqabbin another one and loose 5% each time. time yourself along the same peice of road and figure what the perfect length is. old fassioned 2t pipes were exactly that, peices of pipe cut down til performance was at peak. there will be a magic length that works for your engine setup perfectly. rough workings out gave the figures i gave you but have a play. when you weld the baffel tube in try an point the exit of the pipe down as much as possible. less wind resistance forcing gas back in at high speeds that way

my dad told me about that once in the 70s when they raced grass track they would build an exhaust like 4 foot long cut an inch of after a lap of a track until they went to far then welded an inch on clever stuff

good thing is people turned these experiments into formula's we can all bash out on a calculator.. and with the 60's 70's and 80's works teams constantly pushing the boat out anything you can try has been done so its a case of reading up and applying calculations. 2t tuning is pritty simple compaired to the early 60';s where they thought max primary compression was the way forward, the japs soon figured how well a modularly constructed pipe of differing cone length/diameter can work with a 2t engine.

agreed. minor i no youve heard this a million times and probably wont want to no but that typhoon ive just bought would you say 4 gram rollers are to light for it its got the tkr pipe on it it seems really revvy and takes forever to get to 45 its a w reg typhoon x think there 8.5 from standard cheers mate oh and the previous owner said he upjetted it to a 70-80 jet he couldnt remember the exact size is this to high for just an exhaust?thanks alot if you can help mate

some czech geezer cant recall his name now, who was head tuning man at MZ of all companys... was the god father of 2 stroke expansion chamber development ;)

But minor wasnt wrong...because the japs poached him from MZ and he took with him all his expansion chamber secrets, which the japs used to conquer
    the 2 stroke world :nerd:

little bit of 2 stroke history for you there :nerd:
