    Cheers steve,is there any way of finding out if it does have the gy6 engine,I've emailed a couple of nipponia stockits but had no reply

    Im not as old as steve yet :p:eek:
    Somewhere near the drain plug for the gearbox oil should be a code, That should tell you what engine you have.

    This is a reply I've now received
    Nipponia have advised it is the Dayang DB125 engine.

    Ive done a bit of looking around and its the same as the gy6 125 engine in most ways. Valve clearances will be the same. The Nipponia website also has a free PDF manual that tells you everything youll need to know. The haynes manual for chinese 125cc scooters will be better to use though with alot more detail.

    I've just received the manual for my moped and it states it's 2.50 bar for single rider which equates to 36 psi for tyre pressure..I thought this would have been too much

    Sounds about right. I run mine at 40 psi rear, 37 psi front on my scooters. Check the tyre sidewalls though, Different tyres have different pressure ratings.
