iron tend to be twin ring and are pretty much bombproof ali however are single ring (most, few exeptions, mhr rep etc) and are a lot faster than cast iron and dont run as hot as a cast cylinder. but not as reliable hope i have helped you in your situation
Yeah that helps a lot. I dont go huge distances on my scoot anyway so i'm thinking ali for shits and giggles. Cheers
erm, will be needing a new crank pipe variator gear up and the cases FULLY worked over to make most of the evo.... the rep isnt far off with no case work/small carb an the sport type pipe.. evo's aere REAL fun but alot of parts are needed to get the best of em (up to 21bhp on the right case/setup)
Yeh id get the MHR rep for easy cheap power(comparably), dont get an evo unless youve got enough money/patience and time to get really involved with the setup
yea i sort of didn't xplain properly. most of the time you have to choose between fast or reliable as you cant really have both, but id say go mhr rep as this is a 2 ring ali kit, very fast once set up sweet, and pretty damn reliable.
people always say reliqble.. its a misworded phrase.. its reliable as anything.. start wicked first time if built right, cant go long distances and they dont last long. this is what makes them "unreliable" id rely on a fully ported bike for work daily... i wouldent rely on getting there more than 20 times tho LOL
haha Right so what would be a good 70 kit for everday use that wont break the bank, is reliable, quickish and wont need a ton of other shit done to the engine? I'm not looking to squeeze every last inch of power out of my scoot. It is my first ever build after all. Something that gets 45+ would do me fine for now.
i would go for a rep, ive been running 1 for the last 7 months... its used daily for hacking to work in all weathers, and is very reliable, and its so much more faster than a polini/malossi sport
