quick piston question

    i changed my piston and barrel about 2 month ago and it was running cr@p until about a then all of a sudden it wouldnt start so ive taken the barrel and piston off yesterday and noticed the top of the piston was covered in carbon really bad. could this be the reason why it doesnt run and what can cause this many thanks guys


    ps feel lost not been on the road

    ohh sorry mate and its a 50 cc yamaha jog rr 2 stroke

    running too rich sounds like. Was the plug very blackened as well? Filthy and oily?

    a two stroke will always have a build up of carbon it's why they're filthy.... What is your setup and jet size ?

    think its just a standard set up mate dont really go near the carb as it would most likely end in tears

    Have you changed the exhaust ? Is it de-restricted ?
