Pulling away and speed problem!

    right took the clutch out today, But I don't know how to seperate it from the belt carrier bit, theres a big flat nut on the top does that need undone? cheers

    you need to hold the pulley still and undo the nut. i usually put the pulley in a vice between two pieces of soft wood to avoid damaging the pulley faces. You need either a huge adjustable spanner or plumbers grips to undo the flat nut. but be careful as the torque spring will try and shoot the clutch at your face! apply pressure with your hand to the clutch, when the nut starts tofeels loose. remove the nut and then slowly let the spring release its tension.
