This is the old bike, the other frame has custom billet swing arm based on an rc45 back end and a two piece billet wheel that seals on an o-ring.The chain adjustment is on an eccentric cam type so keeps perfect alignment (and looks shit hot).

I didnt think you would be into minimotos minor!!

Ive been into the mini motor sports scene since I was 12 :)

Had Fuck loads of gopeds (genuine californian ones), even had the rare £1200 GSR40tsi at one point (trevor simpson ported zenoah 41.5cc engine) was fucking quick for a standup scoot!

Had a few minimotos too once had a blata, mostly chinese and minidirt bikes but now Ive got a "lucky 7" chinese minimoto, one of the better quality ones has a ecc certificate.

Brought it bloody ages ago with modding it in mind and never got round to doing anything to it.

Would love to get a polini or grc motor in it though!

Did I forget to say that minimoto looks amazing?? Loving the carbon fiber panels!

What sorta speeds are you expecting from that miniature beast?

i was doing minimoto engines LONG befor i got back into scoots... had a few chinky's aswell (got a blata b1 rep in bits here) aswell as my daufghters lucky 7 (ye there the best of the cags, but its still a bunch of shit metal wiht a chainsaw engine at the end of the day) not putting a grc engine in one thas for sure.. people have made kits to fit a b1 rep engine into them but again, buy a real one, it wont fall to bits as you ride it and will actually corner properly in both directions LOL) had a few gopeds too (sport and a bigfoot) again, shit engines, waste of time totally...

there's a big difference between whats on ebay and these sort of bikes. wouldent want to guess what this one has cost to build (probably into 5 figures by now)

How can you say the goped sports had shit engines!! Yeah they are slow only 1.5hp max! but the Zenoah G23LH and the G2D were probably the most reliable, bombproof little 22.5cc engines out there! I had a few G23LH's which were over 10 years old and spent their lifes on gopeds hauling round humans, which they are not made for!

Did you ever try the G230/60 rc engines, they are a hell load of fun on a goped sport with a ADA S1 pipe! Used to get like a little power surge off the line then another powerband at around 12,000rpm that pushed it upto around 14,000!

Then when it goes bang it takes an hour and £20 to re-build.. ahh the good old days

I love these little toys! Just love em!

there kids tys, made with inferior copy's of chainsa engnes... look them up yourself.. POOR performing wate of time(even tunned ones) a goped is a gimmick, it will never serve more than to acupie kids in parks (where permitted) and generally boot about the pits when racing.... these are race machines..

gopeds just plain suck.. anyone can throw a drive spindle on a chainsaw engine and bolt it to a push scooter (built them years befor goped's were about) then foolishly bought a couple of them (both mine were real, bought the pair for 40 quid, whats that tell you?)

if you think goped is good you REALLY do need to ride somthing moire interesting. waste of time/money/metal... the fact there reliable just go's to show mitsubishi desighned a good engine (sombody chjineese copied) the simple fact is its a 1.5hp 22.5cc engine... so a 50 equivilant is what, 3bhp? these are nocking 14bhp out of a 50.. gopeds still use OPEN TRANSFER PORTS ffs... 1910 desigbhn barrels

Im not saying gopeds are brilliant, you look like a twat riding one, engine sounds like a fart. But a fun toy to blast about for an hour when your bored. It will last for years un-maintained (apart from spindles and rear tyres).

I would never get one again thou, once I started to ride minimotos I saw this is a much more fun hobby.

Yes I have a cheapo chinese minimoto, with a shitty reedvalve chinese chainsaw engine. But its my toy im not going to race it! Cant ask for much more when its gonna be ragged round a carpark once a month!
Didnt cost me 2 grand either was only 30 quid brand new (160rrp dont ask how I got it this cheap & yes a genuine lucky7 w/ removable swingarm)

Its more of a toy/hobby thing for me, im not serious about racing the things.

Also I was just wondering, what performance figures are you expecting speed wise?? I was thinking maybe 60-70mph if geared for it?

Should be good for 80+ if it does@nt burn the clutch out. Been talking bout doing a triple for the strip (will be too wide to go round corners) should give us 40+ hp if lucky.

Lmao they are the BEST as far as gopeds go.. Have you seen the poor quality of the chinese ones?? With the frames and handle bars that snap when you twist the throttle?

But yeah, still aload of shit compared to whats around nowerdays..

And the Jetped, anyone seen it? BRITISH made, goped sport with a REAL jet engine on board!
You must get abit of a rush, when your powering along at 40-50mph on 6 inch SOLID rubber wheels (like a shopping trolly).
    Mad, but fun!

So whats happening with this minimoto minor?? Is it going to be enterd for racing yea?

I wish racing was much bigger over here, I know of about 2-3 minimoto racing clubs (probley all closed now :() and their all too far away without a van!

ye this bike is raced regularly.. will be doing the spannish season (as always) aswell as a few british rounds/maybe a sprint or two on a run what you brung? it certianly hasent been built/had all this money thrown at it (not mine obv) to sit there looking pritty..

race engines are to race (contrary to what people think on here) if your gonna build a race enigne, you better fuckin race it!!?!?!? why do it otherwise?

Yeh too fucking right! If its not gonna be raced, might aswell get a chinkey bike like mine!

Do they still do the little events at the "chedder" race track? I cant remember but I THINK it was in hullavintion (cant spell), or bristol lol... And they had the PS-UK shop there, he used to sell polini and GRC bikes, parts and even those gopeds lol.

And I think there was a minimoto club/race track in croyden but I suspect its closed down now for go-karting or something.

yeye, still bits and bobs at hullavington (only down te road) funny enough theseboy know the owner/staff (its scoot finlay's workl) more gocarts there tbh.. will be down there for testing im sure

croyden was NEVER a track.. its a gay little pay and ride. were talking proper race leagues, not a bunch of numpty's comming along for a lil blast when they fancy it.

Ah right thats why its probley shut now, I was gonna go to croyden to blast my old Blata B1 around when I was about 15 but could never get the bike there (no lifts). Engine got tired eventually (I got it 3rd hand and got alot of use out of it myself) not bad for a little monster.. and its all sitting in my shed seized to fuck so theres genuine B1 parts for sale if you need any. Sure the engine is well and truely gone though.

And does Dave still work in the little shop at hullavington?? He used to sort me out goped parts years ago, and I brought my first brand new chinese minimoto from him.. His website (petrolscooters.co.uk) doesent seem to work anymore??
