not quite that simple as the engine and frame get in the way... but doable..

yhyh lol dats wat i mean lol wasnt telling him to move the carb lol n mek a super long manifold .do you mean face the carb the oppsite way to the air so the air flow is stunted as it swirls round the bend into the carb if you get me so to much airs not rushing in ????. thanks for trying to explain

I didn't think on a piaggio you'd need to turn the carb around because if you got a tube to go onto it, it doesn't matter if it turns.

Like a snorkel if you know what I mean it will still get air into the carb??

But as said, not worth doing really

I think it looks fucking brilliant tbh.
Maybe put something in the other 2 panels to liven them up a bit more??

like minor said the ram air effect doest kick in till your doing near 100mph, i doest even work on superbikes if there doing under those kinds of speeds.

it doest even work on a dyno to my knowledge so manufacturers usally have a bhp figure at the crack or the rear wheel and then round it up to what they think it would be with ram air (eg. 1000's are about 180bhp and 200bhp with ram-air). the srad well known for it but wasnt the 1st bike to feature it,
kawasaki introduced it in 1989 on there z750 ninja if i remember right (it didnt even work funny enough).

look at a super bike and then a ped, your carbs at the back with the engine, a superbikes airbox is in the front usally in front on the perol tank so the ram air vents flow directly in to it.

long story short, like minor said it wont work.

im going up terro in a hour or two, il hola at you then jef, that areox looks all right ish ;)

lol u clearly didnt read all the posts well enough i just want to know if it wud work as well as an airfilter in the normal place im not bothered bout any gain in power jus wanna put filters at the front of the bike coz it looks good. and theoretic ly it could work at 45 if the wind was blowin 45mph in the opposite direction ;) lol

    one word

    no...
    and some more

the whole point of ram air is power gains mate. you can stick a filter any where you want on the bike, but It wont do any thing.
you would have to run tubes from the front to the carb and then try get the air from them tubes in to it. plus this probably wouldn't work due to the long distance the air has to travel with out it being pressurised.

as for your 45mph head wind, lol a peds not designed to have ram air so its not aero dynamic so the body work would probably bounce the air away from and vents you cut in it (with exceptions of course)
    ;)

Dec, looks alright, very common abroad to use aerox front panel as undertray, must fit quite well (on runners)

Wolffy, it's like 50/50, I only really want to mod the horn panel now, so I think I'll knock the smoother one up then have a option then and sell the other.

FirE, where's these pics hehe, n I think we've cleared up the RAM air.

Nibbles, worth a try mate, have a go on ya aerox, can always scrap the idea once ya done it.

Thanks for the replies people :punk:

ask terro jef, the lazy bum would upen up phot shop lol, il do it with him weds,

i know what your getting at nibbles, by all means mate do it, it probably will look alright, i was just saying running a air filter from the front of the bike to the back is going to be a bitch to make it work (thats what you mean right)
