Cheers Max, yeah mirrors are going on.

Don't worry sonny they're just plain white, not having the stripe but mirrors are a must.

    UPDATE (01/07/2009)

Just thought I'd update my recent purchase and me in action with spraying the red.

Went for a beetle brilliant red in the end, sod candy :confused:hock:

Bits are: Thinners, more thinners, spare tins for mixing, dads sidecar green, laquer, red, compound, mask, masking paper, stuff for compounding.

And a normal picture of me spraying.

If you don't get some proper pics of this when it's done taken with a real camera your going to be banned.

    :p

Edit: On a real note... How do you combat the problem of the paint having a "step" in it? Between the white and red due to the red parts having more paint on them.

    Lee :hello:

James, hurry the fuck up :confused:hock:

Thankyou Kyle give me a smile.

Ok mr tErr0 :blackeye: ....I've been told the laquer will help alot in it, if not then won't be too fussed. I'm unsure whether to leave it as it is or get a chrome/silver strip on the join.

    Maybe Dave, maybe :dizzy:

    Thanks nibbler

I was thinking today of leaving the rad panel white rather than having the stripe because the rear mudguard, undertray n airbox is just red. Opinions? :rules:

I can't see how the lacquer is going to help unless you put more on the white area. Whatever you do don't put a bloody strip on the join! That's a crappy way out.

I think Jefro is my biggest fan when it comes to the smilies.

personally, i'd go easy on the second colour where it joins so the level is at a minimum. May even try to flat it back slightly without going overboard.

Then loads of laquer to reduce the effects of the step and then flat the step out the laquer....keep repaeting it till theres no sign.
My lid was done like that bu the colours were applied by airbrush so the coats weren't as heavy. ITS BILLARD BALL SMOOTH to the touch and theres loads of different colours inc graphics all hand painted

Ah, thought it may of been ok, but I could see it getting complicated when it comes to the speedo etc. I'll have to see.

Oh yes tErr0, love em :confused:orry: :tease:
