So what think I should go for? My spec...Got pedmoto open filter stage6 jet (105) kundo exhurst with pm Muffiler and quick action throttle
what are you looking for ?, malossi 172 kit will give the best gains for the cash, and i would change that exhaust if you going for any kind of decent power my sr 125 so far has cases flowed and polished, pm inlet, 25mm carb, pm crank, pm clutch bell, pm variator, standard pipe hope to get a leo vince ZX next friday and a 172 in afew months inless i can pick 1 up cheap
performance wise not alot more prob just new rollers and later maybe clutch. its quick enough as it is really n need it to be reliable as use it to commute for work. wanna do more to the cosmetics rather than engine like downhill bar conversion ect. also wanna put a bigger disc on the front and a fatter rear tire. wanna polish and do the holes in my case to you have any pics of it?
i have a 172 pm kit fitted and its very reliable so i wouldn't worry about that! id definitely throw on a 172 kit and enjoy the power, i used to run a race pipe but now run the stock pipe and its still incredibly powerful
i paid 250 ish for the big bore new the carb etc was extra on top but if you want it relaible and simple just throw on a 172 and adjust the oil pump by 2-3mm the 25mm carb i have runs like a treat but its a lot of dosh
12.5 on an ac... pm52/scorp/kundo/technigas suck... jolly moto 172 or a pm 55/59 DO fit on these, there a fucker to get on and i hate em, but they work... tdr may fit, good pipes, if there still made, or have one made for less than a new 59... or just stick a stock runner pipe and a 172 kit on and laugh your ass off how quick it is with one part fitted LOL dump the stock carb for a 25mm dell and you will really smile
i now run a 172, 25mm carb and have gone back to a stock exhaust 9i still run an open filter as i cant find a used stock airbox the tdr definatly produced more power over the stock pipe but the bike still pulls very well and still goes off the clocks. with the sports pipe i ran 13.7gr rollers which was spot on! now with the stock exhaust i have fitted the standard 15.?gr rollers which are a tad heavy but the 13.7s where over revving. will grab some 14.? gr rollers and try them out. or a stock airbox if i can bloody find one!
How does it feel? For me I can feel straight away how it feels. If its revs low as you gain speed then towards the end feels like it gains rpm and power lower the roller weight. If it revs high and sounds like its always revving fast like your thrashing it go a little heavier My bike revs lower then I'd like but it drives ok ATM. But half a gram or so lighter would be ideal for me. Rollers are cheap grab a set and see! I also fitted stiffer clutch springs to aid pull off. As the open filter and sports pipe dropped some bottom end pull off torque
its a typh engine, there 12.5 stock weight... 15's in a runner, ali ac kit produces power differently to the shite iron wc... hence they restrict the ignition on the typh/sr to get ot down slower than a runner LOL
bit off thread topic sorry insane, just wanted to ask minor if the 55 fits without having to cut and weld exhaust, is it as simple as just playing with the mount blocks ect
