as bate said, down hill are better for drag/sprint, so they are popular with euro who are in to that (you might as well as every ones got high reving 70's)

    UPDATE (05/12/2009)

Wellllllll I was at the NEC motorcycle show and I saw what I originally wanted to do to the front end of a runner. So I bought them and scrapped the idea of SR panels. Going to do a r1 front end ish, making it up as I go along ;)

    Here's the beautys:

I thought that it would look better than the SR front end so the whole bike is smoooooth. See some renthals I wanted today too and decided on paint scheme  Graphite grey and white. Graphite grey renthals with white stem. Graphite grey powdercoated frame and engine. White engine brace, footrest hangers, transmission casing. Not sure on forks and wheels yet. Maybe grey wheels with white rim tape, maybe white or grey forks.

But yeah, glad I went today

Yeah I'll give it a go fire n if it don't work I might use the SR idea. That bike is owned by a bloke called Craig, who cleans every single thing, bit of a perfectionist.

A guy at the show handed me the set of graphite grey renthals, then I thought, hmmmmm, could look good.

Im picking up another frame with seat bucket etc this week so can cut the hell out of it n not worry if it goes wrong

i know who mr muscle aka craig 23 my dear, im on bcf ;) (wish my vfr look like that)

it a nice colour scheme just got to balance it right, because to much grey can look dull, and to much with can look unfinished and runner look huge!! already and you know what they say about white don't ya fat girls

aint you going to use whats left of your flip paint any more then jeff?

how much you got left of it?.

you could paint the rims or engine with it,
but it goes more with dark colours more then light ones like white or grey o_O ,

then again you don't even have to use it on the scoot at all,

could do your big bike in it?,

your bros r6 in black and flip paint  :hitit:,

you guys wanted to get a track bike didn't ya?,
if your buying race fairing could paint those with it too,
that will turn a few heads at the track (just don't crash it lol),

    or...

if you don't want to use it on your bikes,
you could take it to a shop and ask them to spray your lid with it, never seen a tvr flip paint helmet before.

I'll take a pic of how much paint I got left fire, must be half a litre?

Not sure what I'll do with it but I do want it on this runner though, as it's sort of bringing the runner back from the dead.

Yehhhh minor I think they look nice, I might put some front pans on today and mock them up. But I think the way forward for this project is to get the frame cut. My Dad is worried about the rigitity of the frame, but I've seen loads of frames cut, I got the design done, so might just do it anyway n let him moan lol.

Deadline is IOW but I want the panels done before summer so I can get the spraying done. To be honest I'm not sure if this project will take toooo long, it's just money for the engine n parts which would slack but I got time soooooo.

if you have enough to paint the whole runner with it,
then paint it, and your lid to match, :good:

it hard to match with other colours so you might as well do a revamp of your 1st one
(maybe chrome instead of the gold tho)?

I second the flip paint idea, if not the whole bike, atleast small parts, or wheels even as a tribute to the original

I guess this one will be the facelift version of JP-180

what part of the frame you planing on utting? the rear oop? removing te il tank and movng everything forward? (stubby bck end basicl) f so then dont wrry, the rear ofthe frame (past the shock mount) is not structural.. its literally there to hold the lighs/oil tank..

hardst part will be fabricating a latched seat...

or s there omthig else you have in mind?

THIS FUCKING KEYBOARD IS SO ANNOYING... I HATE WIRELESS
