Ive been looking around for a good premix Ratio for my Piaggio Zip 50 2t ( 62 jet + Yasuni Z ) but i cant find a good answer. Currently the bike is running off the Oil pump but i think the pump is on its way out. Starting the bike up it idles great but when i pull off down the road it stutters and becomes a bit smokey but then clears about 100 meters or so. So im thinking of taking the oil belt out and premixing. Anyone able to help me with a Ratio?
I would aim for 4% (25:1) as a start and then see how you go. Most oil pumps deliver around 3% (33:1) or so, but as you are using a sports exhaust that allows the engine to use high revs a little stronger mix won't hurt. Anything less than 2.5% (40:1) is just asking for a seizure.
