Just had a long fiddle. Firstly,im a twat, the belt hadnt snapped. The vario nut had come lose. :confused:arc: So i put 8.1 rollers in,checked it all out, wacked it back together and tightened nut up. Littlebit up the road same thing happend. Come back, nut came lose again. I forget to mention, when i fitted the kit,i removed the plastic white 'fan',and my old man said this might be why. So i put that back on,started it back up and it was making some weird sound, like the belt was rubbing etc..and it didnt have MUCH pull but it moved. Fuck knows boys..havent done anything out of the ordinary that i know of. :wtf:

got the fan on slightly wrong so its rubbing on the kickstart.. will have whitness marks on it when you take it back off...
remove the lot, then the order to reinstall is oil gear (leave on obv) then black spacer, then var backplate with var and shaft, then outer pulley, then the fan with the starter dog holding the fan on the 4 notches, then the small washer and the nut. use PTFE thread tape.. much better than locktite

Sorry for going a bit off topic, but is it normal for the variator nuts to come lose like that after you have had the variator off? seen it mentioned a few times. Ive had mine of yesturday and put it all back together today. I didnt use and loctite or that tape, just put it on the way it came off. Havnt riden it yet but should i do something to it before i do?
    Sorry again
    Thanks

just where threads wear/overtightend/undertightend.. i always use ptfe as it will hold even at 5nm of torque. let alone 52 on a 125 enigne... not sure the exact torque setting but has to be pritty loose on a piggy 50 to come loose on a good thread.

you should really use a new bolt every time.

    cheers for that rezzin.

i only had the bike for 3 weeks and im just starting to tune the boy up now.

i only found out a few days ago it had a polini speed kit onit and as you said the rollers that come with it are way to heavy!

its got a leo vince TT on at the moment but its quite rusty gunna whip that off and order a laser x probably. need to get it fully de-restricted. garage down the road said £15 not bad. 70s kit will be getting ordered along with a polini 2g clutch on tuesday :D hows yours?

has your ice gotta foot pegs with it cuz i really want them for mine :(

if you bought a tuned bike whip the jet and plug out.. replace the plug and rejet/roller it up for your setup. will run on pennys and give best performance

Sorted the rollers out today,8.1s were getting on my tits, wernt that bad but new it was hindering a tiny bit of performance. So wacked 3on3 of 6.5 & 8.1 in and on the usual spot where i would barely get 50 i had 55 on the clocks. Guna leave it at this now, until 5months time when i come to sell it,and get a car and save up for a nice bike. Cheers boys xx
