thanks for that minor the reason am abit iffy with scooter shack is because i entered the right model and make, gilera runner gears and they dont fit ill order the gears from scooter matrix tomorow :good: btw amazing work on the casings  and shiny so basically is my clutch finished or is it repairable?
to fix the clutch would mean a new backplate being made/orderd... wich is the main part. if you were to bend it back it would fatigue the metal and crack (its hitting over 40,000rpm afterall) best to just replace it... the backplate cant be bought indevidually (the only part) and making a new one is more than a new clutch would cost (man hours alone) the problem wiht euro sites is the yearing.... they had the old engines ALOT longer than we did (like my typh engine in my p reg takes the gearup you bought) they stopped this in 97/98 wiht the runners yet in euro land they kept them up untill 2008... your best bet is to just order bits for the NEWEST runner... the engines are the same... or go for the ditech as transmission parts are the same and the ditech didnt come with an old engine EVER so cant get it wrong again... best bet is do it over the phone wiht scootermatix... you can tell em its the newer type of engine wiht the bearing inside the tranny cover (wich you also need to order) and its sorted.... ive had alot of this ordering transmission parts from europ but you cant blame them... the part is right for the year wheree they are... any more probs wiht part numbers just ask/make a topic about it in general tunning.
i'll speak to them tomorrow, shiny could you e-mail me you address because theres no point in me coming all the way to stroud to drop off 1 part. would it be okay to use a standard clutch till i get another 1?
ive had trouble wiht anything but a 2g wiht an evo kit.... just cant get the takeoff rpm (try'd a delta and hebo on various evo setups...) if you use a stock clutch it will be shit off the line and generally not rev untill its moving a bit. this is basicly your spec with a second gearup (primary and secondary) with a 25mm carb and a delta (again, wasent tight enough wiht the stiffest springs and set to the hardest wiht no weights installed) dissapears as you can see, but was absoloutly shit off the line (well, shit compaird to what it should be) it would be similar wiht a stock clutch... maybe get away wiht a stock clutch and the stiffest spring set you can find but it would soon bend itself to bits...but hey, up to you... its yours to try what you like.. id personally sort out another 2g clutch or see whats cheap on ebay and try work wiht it... fact is i ran my evo timed airsal kit on a stock clutch (standard wiht stock springs and stock contra spring) and it wasent bad off the line...(shit vid, but its hardly lazy off the line)
just ordered the gears from scooter matrix i fink i'll wait till i can get another clutch do you know of any one selling 1?
no m8 sorry, everyone i know buys parts and uses them to distruction... unless you find one on ebay somone bought by mistake (even then it could also be bent) there prone to it tbh.. 2g's are VERRY tempremtal wiht setup (like, too tight or uneven and the shoe supports will just bend as its easier than the spring compressing any further...) its just the nature of the clutch. needs some redesighning thas for sure.. dont know of any others that work as well tho.. unless you can find somthing cheap on the bay... (somthing ajustable but not cheap shit...) i woudlent know what to recomend tbh.. other than a 2g as its the only thing ive used and worked with an evo.. i recon anything wiht the right spreings and enough fucking about will work.. its the time it takes tho. time costs money unless your doing it for yourself. see what comes up.. a set of stiff springs in a stock clutch will do you for now.. might stop you flipping the thing over if anything.
i need some money for another clutch ema needs to come in its goin on the dyno on monday or tuesday so hopefully by the end of next week :good:
