Im just saying it doesnt have a caliper mount where two people have said it does. Making or fitting lugs to a casing which has none is another story. To go to them lengths you might aswell get a new engine.
the old shape engines dont have lugs yet ALL the new shape engines do. same with typhoon engines. why would they make 2 diff cases for the same engine?
completely forgot to look bt il look 2moz cos i cant b botherd now neway spent 45mins getin all the shit off the runner
Yeah course, new shape runner engines have lugs because they are disc brake versions Never seen a drum brake with calipermounts and Im 99% sure they dont do them so its either drum brake or new engine ! :emb:
look at ANY typhoon with a new shape engine, they have drum brakes but can be converted to disk. so if its a new shape drum modle it can be done
what about the engine in the NRG? is that LC? rear drum? i only really want the casings TBH. cheers james
well, it obviously can as ive done quite a few of them, also done alot of typh disk conversions. the case is IDENTICAL bar the waterpump providing its a new shape engine. the old shape engines dont have lugs..
the sr is drum brakes with a disc mounting, thats AC but the cases are the same, just need part machining for water pump drives and stuff.
We know. As said. RUNNER DRUM ENGINE doesnt have caliper Mounts. RUNNER - The guy bought a RUNNER and wanted to swap engines. SR and typhoon engine details not required arc: Minorconfusion you say youve done a conversion to a runner drum brake engine to disc? you welded caliper mounts onto the engine?
no, the old shape drum engines dont have lugs.. the new shape drum engines do have lugs. its pritty simple. the same case is used for both the typhoon and runner all abr the waterpump as stated ALOT of times now by many people. those people stating have ether had or converted said bikes. its like trying to say they never did an ac 50 runner. they did, there just not common. most people dont know a drum moddle runner exists. ether way if its a new shape drum engine (nut on the tranny cover) it has lugs as there cast. they simply machine the pump out to make the 2 diff new shape engines (ac and wc) i agree tho the old shape runner drum engines DONT have lugs.
