NRG POWER SPEED&POWER ISSUE'S

Well where to start arc:

Im 6ft 3" and just a touch under 16 stone and my NRG struggle's for its stock top speed of 30 mph, the dealer says they cant find a problem yet my nextdoor neighbour says it could be the engine/output power and ive been advised to get a new exhaust (all ready getting a tecngas next R so no offer's please!) and a new induction kit or an improved airbox i clean the airbox every time i get low power it makes some improvement for a while and then it goes downhill again :msn1: .

Im also looking into derestiction does anyone have any advice and tips for me on de retricting + how will it effect my insurance :wtf:

Plus: Will a racing exhaust improve my speed or just speed up the time it takes to get to 30-33mph :wtf:

 

rip the washer out from behind the front pully and kepp the stock pipe just chop the added tube off and weld over the hole. seroiusly a techigas will give little improvement over a stock derez one. if u dont want to buy a pipe of someone second hand u could get a leovince tt which is about the same price as a tech

 

Hi im a mechanic but on merc trucks i dotn have a clue can u please provied some photo's ( i feel like such a n00b asking this :msn1: )

 

basically the side casing (kickstart case)
remove that
theres a pulley at the front use a air impact gun to remove that
take the plate and the belt off
there should be a washer
pull it out and burn it !
thats how you deristict your transmission

When your 17 u can de-restrict your ped as much as you like and it will not effect your insurance

Derestrictions are nothing, u should feel for us 70z and 172 owners out here if we crash were the ones that will get fukked not you lol

Yea i got to admit an exhaust does give u a lot of power

I got a brand new 58 plate tyhoon with a leo vince tt pipe and 5.5 g rollers and i can wheelie it like theres no tommorow and it hits 55-60

 

Haha do you think my exhaust will make any improvements?

 

Depends what exhaust u get, but i do recomend a leo vince or a pm curly wurly pipe
