Just to say hi to everyone as a newbie to scootering in general having decided to swap from a 900cc bike to a scooter mainly struggling to get my leg over the seat hips won’t co-operate so scootering here I come.
Been into my dealership today looking at a Royal Alloy GT 300. However I’ve been told that spare parts aren’t easy to get hold of. Is this the case as I love the retro look of the RAs takes me back to my youth when Lambrettas And Vespas where everywhere. No doubts I’ll be asking loads of questions in the future.

Hi Mark old biker here too
After selling off my last bike I needed something to tinker with or go nuts
I picked up an old 250 maxi scoot (cos I'm tall) which will hopefully go on the road next week
I created a post on it in the 'Project' section
The RA does look nice with that 60s Lambretta look and will probably go well out of the showroom
but I'd advise a wee bit of caution and thought over long term ownership issues.
As with bikes, the big 4 will likely have better support and spares availability than a niche make.

The Royal Alloy and Scomadi are the same and they share a lot of parts with the Sym's
    Here's the main site:
    https://www.royalalloy.co.uk/
Parts will redirect to motogb site:
    https://shop.motogb.co.uk/genuine-parts
Or if you want tuning parts you go here:
    https://www.tassoparts.co.uk/cgi-bin/store.pl
