This is the setup i will be getting chubz what do you think ??? Stage 6 hpc crankshaft 10mm Stage 6 Sports pro mk2 cylinder kit Stage 6 dellorto 19mm carb Stage 6 intake manifold sytem with reeds Stage 6 drive belt Stage 6 pro variator Stage 6 107 mm sports pro clutch Stage 6 cnc water pump Stage 6 Quik action throttle kit Would i need a air filter with this or with the standard aerox one be fine?
For What it's worth my 04 aerox is fitted with a Top racing crank (for strength and reliability) a stage 6 streetrace 70 kit, pollini reeds, 17.5 dellorto with standard airbox (snorkel removed) stage 6 sport replica exhaust and a pollini variator. It pulls wheelies on the throttle and does not need a gear up kit due to the wide powerband with the stage 6 kit. Top speed is around 70. The set up is strong and as reliable as a standard bike. I strongly recomend that you have a look at the pedparts blog which compare all different setups for the Aerox. And finally the 17.5mm carb is moe than adequate for this state of tune and surpasses the 19mm in some areas. 21mm carbs do work but are not as efficient at this state of tune.
Sort of similar setup to what im thinking of geting so i mite just go with the 17.5 mm carb Wouldnt a gear up kit giv me more top speed?
if your going for speed get a primary gear up kit, why run a 17.5 or 19? get bigger carb such as 21,24,26mm carb as they say the more fuel more power
That is a MIDRACE cylinder with 15-17bhp ? Not a sport cylinder with 9 ? I'm personally running a 24mm carb on my sport pro MKII but i've ported n flowed etc. Your personally better off with a 21.
A gear up kit might get you a bit more speed but you must remember that more power = more speed not gearing unless it is undegeared.
So with the 21mm carb would there be alot more difference in speed and performance than a 19.5 or is it hardly noticeable? And the gear up kit how much more speed would i get from them would just the s6 streetrace be fast enuff ? Cheers
A 21 mm carb in a sports setup is usually excessive with no gain to be had , a 19mm would be better with a sports pro kit.
