Need Help jetting problems Piaggio nrg

Hi, i have a problem with my ped,i brought it not so long ago, a piaggio nrg mc3 extreme 2001,it started of as the guy i brought it of told me that 'only the piston had gone' that wasnt the case as the whole engine had gone due to him having a 79 jet
inside,i brought a 2008 nrg engine and put a pm tuning 70's kit on it as 50's would bore me,anyway,when i started it i found that i had a problem with the carb..when i throttled it would cog up and conk
i have standard air box on it, as i said it has a 79 jet inside it,someone said it maybe over fueling? if someone could help me find what jet i should have for a 70's kit with standard airbox on a piaggio nrg mc3 extreme..thanks - kyle

standard jet is a 53.

Are you running an aftermarket exhaust aswell?

check the jetting guide to see how much you should be upjetting by.

just derestricting it i would put in a 55 jet as it runs slightly lean otherwise, so make room for this aswell when calculating what you will need.

order a jet set for it, start by over jetting around 6 over what your calculations say, and then plug chop, working your way down till the sparkplug is a brownish colour.
