    Going to be a lot of work! The kit and the crank don't actually physically fit into the cases which is pretty funny.

    The joys of high end tuning! I might do a PM and claim quickest 70 in the uk when it's all done.

    Nothing? Got all the engine parts. Might be starting the engine build next week.

    This isn't a project that is going to take months and months!

    manic travel plans my end... but hope to get this started early next week... maybe this week, but im not sure. should have some interesting pics/vids up within a couple weeks.. maybe the engine in and running (weather is our only enimy) would be nice to get this to pod for the 13th of march... fiurst round of straightliners.

    If she will be ready by march, will you be bringing her to auto scooter sunday at ace? Would love to see it in action, certainly a "one of a kind" engine your building there!

    Any rough ideas on performance figures? Can see this being a real sleeper, and 172 murker.

    Depends on how many thieves turn up. Saying that it's going to be a pretty normal looking vespa so I may be able to come anyway.

    Bit hard to make a guess as i'm pretty sure no one has fitted a longer stroke crank with one. They all have to stick with 70cc for racing. Should be between 21bhp and 25bhp. Deffo a 172 beater.

    ace is for fat hairy bikers.... rather see this at pod than a chav filled carpark on the north circular.. LOL

    ace has been shit since 2006, more thiev's and bullshit than actual scooter fans out to meet people and have a laugh.....

    Nah none yet as Minor has been delayed in coming down. Itching to get started though. Might bang up a pic of all the parts together just for drooling.

    Little update. Just doing some busy work.


    Engine build should finally be starting this week so there will be lots of pictures of the build process coming soon!!

    how come you've closed up the little holes in pic 7 i cant remember for the life of me what theyre called don't people usually just leave them i mean im sure ive seen some projects on here last year where people had made them bigger

    nice work though good to see it moving on

    What are you using to seal up the cases when you go through ?

    liquid metal jb weld ect.

    They aren't closed they are just made smaller! I'll leave minor to give a full explanation but as far as i can gather it's to aid flow as the bearing lubrication holes are overkill as stock. Plus I will be running my bike on pretty oily premix so it should have lots of oil to keep it going.
