insurance is cheaper at 17 as a learner as you have to have somone responcible in the car... think about it

same as when you pass you can only get 6 points rather than the 12 on l plates or aftrer 2 years clean driving

Haven't driven my car for three weeks, runner in the dry and majesty in the wet even with the 70mph gusts we were getting this week. Good gear means I,m warm, mp3 and helmet speakers means I got music and a car doesn't come close in the fun department.
So I agree, a car is just transport to me for shifting kids, washing machines, dead bodies, Ikea stuff etc........ :D

obviously being insured as a learner driver you have to have muumy or daddy in the car with you when you drive it, so not everyone is going to get insured as a learner to go cruzing with there mates with muumy or daddy with them are they :wtf:

When hes mum and dad are at work hes paying £££ for hes car to be sat on the road :msn1: Not worth it in my opinion, just wait until you pass.

you get insured as a learner so you can learn to drive in your own car saves wasting £££ on driving lessons

but you cant reali learn on your own or from your parents.

they dont know what needs to be done to pass the test.

no, your mum or dad learns you the basics of how to drive i.e how to park, change gear, stop, trn and do 3 point turns ect, cheaper than getting a instructer to show you and get payed, when you get the basics and confidence from mum or dad you book a driving instructer and when he thinks your ready to take your test you book it..

ive done 5 lessons and it is so thorough you wouldnt believe it, you cant cross either hand over the 12/6 oclock position on the wheel, every manouvre requires a special process of mirror checks, ie, reversing into a right turn needs left mirror, centre mirror, back windscreen, x3 and over the right

there no way a parent with 3 years road experience could get you to test standard

and that insuance price is fucking decent, me grandads insurance is gonna double to £600 fully comp with me on it(rover 214 sei) will get a lot more road experience but still gonna do 1-2 lessons a week

(and i intend to pass my bike test but me grandad wont let me have a big bike, looking to get a 125 still tho)
