not long been using it hence didnt advise the same... i know chem metal wil bond to itself but a wet to dry joint is not really a join with it... pressure fuel and other assorted things mean its a risk i dont like to take...

but if you say its cool ill layer it. pritty sure youve been doing this alot lkonger than me LOL

have played around with a few spare parts also i have drilled my fywheel and have turned down the fins from my outer variator pulley.

ive decided to go premix now
what ratio's do you run or how have you figured out the ratio needed?

cant wait !! all help from you guys has been great, where would i be without scooter shack.. thanks

50:1 is about right (20 ml per litre) so for 5 litres (5000ml) you add 100ml of oil (5000:100 or 50:1)

I had a peek at my crankcases on my zip sp at the weekend, there is hardly anything done to them except for a little clean up and match - very minor work.

I'll be expecting about 24bhp out of it on the dyno next tuesday.

We premix at 30:1 on the race bikes.

ye same as crossers..... can lean it out a bit more but you do ride high spec bikes for long periods... sprint you can run as little as 95:1....

mix is down to personal preferance... road/general application is 50:1 same wiht minimoto's chainsaws, strimmers, anything with a 2 stroke engine really... but ye more oil wont hurt the engine, just the wallet (i do 2 litres a month as it is)

great, at the moment its damn rich.. seem to be having troubles with generator at the moment so havent had her running, waiting for tuesday to come so i can get my hands on a flywheel puller again so i can swap back to my old one.

in my CR i run about 32:1 only because i was reccomended that in the manual. cant remember where i read about someones theory on more oil is better for performance aswel. being slippyer?
not many people agreed with this though.

cool once its gone through this tank ill mix it 50:1

on the strip adding more or less fuel will give you faster times with slower mph over the line or slower times with terminal speed alot higher..

all depends on many many factror's... ether way correct mix is correct mix, should be no oil in the air/fuel, this would be fastest in theory, oil changes the speed at wich a certian mix of air and fuel burn.. ALSO when premixing your dropping 1 out of every 50 parts fuel... meaning your effectivly leaning out the fuel mix when you add more oil.. 2% leaner

ether way it aint gona make the slightest difference if your jetings not right. 50:1 is a happy mix 99% of engines wil run on.. the autolube system uses ALOT less than 50:1... hence your oil dissapears when running premix.. run premix on the road at 30:1 and see how expensive it is by the end of the month ;) LOL

... got the flywheel puller and one of the threads in the flywheel are non existant.. its well and truly jammed on.

right next way around this. deos anybody know much about the ingition on these engines?

the pickup on my older one is different to the newer one, in the way that there is a different coloured wire, ive tried joining this to the wire that did not have any other colour match and this had no spark, the diferent coloured wire seems to go to the pickup on the later one, wheras the earlyer one dissapeared behind the stator, is there any way i can wire up the newer one to work with the old wiring loom?

i realy wana see her go..
