engines are quite easy to drop mate, undo the bolts cables and hoses, engines out! as for the spacer behind the pully, it makes a bigger space between the two front pullys. by the looks of it, your bike isnt restricted but yeah, like fiddyrox says, there might be a restrictor in the carb too

lol you dont want to get done for speeding... its you who controls the speed not the bike.... if you dont wanna get done for speeding, dont go over 30mph.

Are there any ways to fit a digital one buddy? Also considering temperature gauge? As while it isn't on the road it gets run a lot without getting much air to cool her, I am worried it will overheat.

i will say it looks smart fella the wheels are a great touch! not sure where you have spent £160 extra tho! paint your way must cost more then gold lol

As for all this modding and rebuilds......leave it be. their known to be poorly built and as for getting more power from an engine prone to failure and requiring constaint services isnt the best idea, stripping the bike to frame and painting it would be a nice project but its money lost, the resale value is probably not far off what you have spent on it so far. change the oil and keep it clean and oiled and enjoy it until its time to sell it.

as for the worry about speeds and de restriction, i cant imagine many 50s in the uk are restricted, and there are many 70d peds with loud pipes and open filters driving around that should be limited and stock. if you drive sensible n one will say a word, drive like an a$$ and on the back wheel a lot and youl get stopped eventually

Yeah mate theres loads of digital speedos on the market today and usually come with guides on how to fit them :)

As for overheating, if it doesnt have anything wrong with it then i dont see why it would overheat just buy being run without moving anywhere, iv done it millions of times lol

I honestly wouldnt bother with expensive things like digital speedo, really not worth it. Having said that, the speedo you have will probably indicate 45 when youre doing 30

Thanks buddy :D I have spent it all on buying parts.. various small things (flasher relay for example).. also the cost of the paint was huge! we probably went through 10-15 aerosols.

I dont want to do any big engine mods! I was thinking more cosmetic mods to make it stand out. Thanks for all your input mate :D

If I bought a digital speedo do you think it would make it any more accurate?

That is what I am worried about. I think I will put it on the road (assuming its restricted) And if i get it up to 30 and it shows 34 i know then whenever i see a copper just get it own to 34. Where as if i de-restrict it before i get up to speed i want have nothing to go on as far as the speedo goes. if you get me? Well in the length of 2 decent sized detached houses according to the speedo i am nearly up to 15mph? which does seem a little off. but by that time it is revving flat out so it might be right. Really want to get it somewhere that I can run it up to speed :(

just a bicycle speedo would be more accurate, i bought a wireless one for my cafe racer, and when its running, i get feedback and the speedo goes all over the place

I never thought of one of those.. I already have one on my mountain bike :) Would I have to stick it to my rim for it to work?

you can judge your speed by the other traffic, very rarely will you be sandwiched between two cars that are doing more than the speed limit

yeah, you will probably have to be inventive with getting it to stick to your rim/wheel, i ended up dremelling a kind of slot into one of my wheel spoke type things (mag wheels, vintage suzuki) and managed to bolt it up to the slot

After putting the bike back together after looking for the restrictor day before yesterday. I topped it up with fuel.. and now it seems to pull much quicker! Any ideas? :D

might have had some bad fuel before, it happens from time to time, my bike likes to have fresh fuel, if its been sitting for over 2 weeks it runs slow
