Having loads of RAM will only bottle neck you CPU as it'll porbs be poo by the sounds of it.... Just upgrade everything ;)

Is it SD ram or DDR?

Correct me if i am wrong, but i think terror did say it was the old DDR....

bruv just go buy a new pc.... tell them that you want the computer it self without the screen or the speakers so they give you a quite a bit discount and use your old screen .... thats what i did .... the whole computer was there for 650 and i got just the base unit for 390 :nerd:

    Thats my opinion anyway :pimp:

QUAD Core QX6800 Over-clocked at 6.43Ghz - 4GB DDR3 Ram - Dual 768MB GeForce 8800GTX Ultra - 1.5TB Harddrive (1500GB) - 22" flat widescreen gaming monitor - liquid cooled with an extra 9 fans (seperate fans for graphic cards). Etc etc etc

This is my PC, thought I'd share.

    How much was it?..... FREE.

My uncle works for Dell and is quite high up in the food chain, I got a laptop too. :bird:

I've got all my mates very good deals, I'm sure I could find you something for a reasonable price should you seem decent!

Got my mate a similar spec to the above - usual prices for these are ROUGHLY (including special offers) £2000+, he paid £999.

    Let me know :w00t:

Havent replaced it once yet. It was a gift from my Uncle and it was professionally built by specialists, exclusively for me. This Pc is no joke.

Silly really as I'm sure it would have some better use in some1 else'a hands. I use it everyday, but not for anything special or power demanding. This PC would blow a nerds pants off permanently.

Few months back I got some mates around to play CSS for an entire weekend (yup, you read it correctly), anyway, it was 6 of and we played from friday night to sunday night basically NEVER turning our PC's off. Two of my mates computers over-heated several times and another mates computer broke completely, just died. Fried motherboard and graphics card lol.

My lil baby purrrrr'ed all weekend long, staying under the appropriate temperature. I got this programmed built it which warns me when its getting to hot or close. Never happened to date. This is again because I'm not even demanding power from it... playing a game for a weekend is nothing. My uncles programmer said I could play continously for 2-3 months never turning off once. Obviously if I was a hacker using specific programms or the Latest high-tech, power demanding games whilst listening to music, surfing the net, downloading porn, playing multiple games, aiming and igniting the PC using a flame-thrower... it might get warm.

Anywayyy... long a$$ post. This is free advertising for Dell ;)

The dude wanting a new PC, PM me and I'll see if theres anything we can do for ya.

    Cheers

pretty simple, go through and remove any shit you dont use, be honest, everything can be re-downloaded if need be.

then run disk cleanup, then disk defragment, and then go into run and type xpconfig and go to startup, remove all of the shit from there thats your mess, this will stop unnecesary shit from openin on boot.

also do as people have said and look into a new pc altogether, you dont need 4gb of ram and a 1.5tb harddrive to look at scootershack, buy shit off ebay and nosh one out on a late sunday evenin, so just grab somethin cheap that will run well.

I never said he had to buy a similar PC to mine.

Dell dont only make high-tech computers, far from it.

They have a huge range of computers which you can use purely for surfing the net, then theres the high-end hardcore gaming machines.

Sure go ebay, you can never be 100% sure of the quality your buying or if they've taken everything good out of it and replaced with shitty simple stuff.

If you want to buy a simple Dell PC for £500-800 I could get it for £200-300.

Just trying to help, but if its need wanted/needed then fair enough. Enjoy your new ebay'ed PC with what you think has decent stuff in it. :w00t: :wtf:
