Malossi 172 Cylinder with Stock Cylinder Head?

    Hi chaps,

    Can anyone tell me why some of the Malossi kits come with no cylinder head..? Does this mean you can bolt the barrel to the stock cylinder head..? If so are there any issues with this such as inferior cooling / heat dissipation or will it be fine?

    If it makes any odds, the scooter in question is a 2003 Aprilia SR 125 Air Cooled.

    Hello bud that's basically correct and it will save you money too. Shouldn't be any issues as long as you have the right tools and it's done properly.

    No, it's wrong size. std is 55mm, Malossi is 65mm. Compression will be to high and piston may hit head.
