LOL i swear thats the only advantage of a disc.. that it doesnt get worse in the wet, on pushbikes anyway.. truesay a drum is sealed up. deffo convert it to disc though, drums need too much maintainance and theyre worse in the winter because the arm gets all shitty and rusty o_O o_O got a hub if you need one but no calipers :pale:

You've been doing something wrong if you think a drum needs more maintenance than a disk. Or just not maintaining the disk properly.

you dont have to tighten youre disc breaks, just check fluid/bleed like once every few months if that... and change pads if they die.. drums need tightening every week or so if you ride youre bike alot.

and joe i dont think theres any ped shops is brixton hill o_O o_O

the only ones i can think of off the top of my head are...
    2wheels - croydon,
    mac motors - tooting,
    cbs - whitton/isleworth,
    bikersrealm - herts..

Deffo something wrong if your tightening it every week! I do quite a few miles and it was something like 8 months till I had to tighten mine and that was only because I wanted too not because it didn't work.

Anyway that's pretty much all you ever have to do! Disk you gotta do all the things you said plus keep em copper greased up. Drum you don't even need to change the shoes. I don't think i've ever seen warn down shoes.

N Yeah there aren't any shops in Brixton hill.

dont go mac motors unless you wanna buy dusty maloss parts that have been sitting there since 1987.. and standard parts for extortionate prices
