or just drill a hole in the top of your petrol tank, run the ht lead to it with a spark plug screwed into the hole and sealed in nicely, fill the tank up a bit more, give it a shake, leave the keys in it and put it in a known area.

some cunt tries to start it, BANG! goodbye face

We are not talking about at night, where alot of people here do have garages and leave them locked in there overnight. We are talking about in the day, riding or parked up, in London it happens all the time, just riding about anywhere, even parked up. If you read the first post of this thread you will see it is not down to leaving it locked up overnight.

I live just out of London but in go in London alot, overnight around my area is fine. In London even in a garage and all the alarms etc they will still try and nick it.

What alot of people experience in London is either being jumped by a gang of 172s 2s up, beating you up and taking your bike or leaving it parked for any amount of time if in view, chain or no chain. Or theives waiting for ya to return to ya bike.

Alot of people don't understand how bad it is or 'yeah if they try it i'll knock em out because I carry a hammer under the seat and a screwdriver in my sleave' until it happens. You can't do fuck in these situations.

Sad to say but the scooter-scene is full of scum.

Driving the honest, genuine riders away and killing off the scene. I give it a year or two before there are hardly any 2 strokes out there due to thefts and all youll see is the odd bike pieced together from nicked bikes.

So to those of you buying stolen parts, youre fueling this. It wont go away, but dont encourage it. Youre just as bad as the theives...

There's theiving scum in every walk of life. Scooters and bikes have always been a target because they are so much fun to ride. All this goes on in the classic scooter world as well. Every month in SCOOTERING there are ads about old scooters which have been nicked.

It happens in the bicycle and classic car world as well. I heard of a Ford Capri which was nicked and burned out. When it was found the owner discovered that ONE piece of chrome trim had been removed, so it had been stolen just for that. :msn1:

Even the local farmers round my way are paranoid because of their tractors being stolen. These are worth serious money these days.

I hate these theives, they are undermining antisocial vermin, human rats. They live on the edge of society picking away at the efforts of others until hard working people are demoralised and depressed. They can't read, they can't write and have an intellect roughly equivalent to a caveman.

British theives are the lowest of the low. Foreigners can't help it, they are here to get the most they can out of our country, but the British ones aspire to being like Foreigners, rather than setting an example and working for a living.

The Police don't help much either. They could do more to encourage the use of Smartwater and give advice on security devices, but they seem more interested in nicking drivers for petty offences.
