My 125 4stroke gilera runner as done 16k according to the clock but has no history.
So engine is now out of the frame to pull top end off. Now do I refresh as stock? Or my thoughts are bang on a 218cc kit.
If I do the latter is it worth going for the mallosi head. Checking part numbers on gilera parts list the head, valves are the same on both 125 and 200, but cams have diffrent part numbers, so.
Do I go big bore with stock head but upgrade cam to stock 200cc cam or go with the mallosi sports cam, or is it worth the cost of the head for the bigger diameter valves.

I would go with the big valve head.

What would be you reason. Bhp / £ does not seem cost effective

Because a leader motor is a commuter engine, the valve angles etc etc

I usually agree with what scubabiker says but on this occasion, I'd get the 218 CC barrel, a little bit of porting/cleaning on the head, upjet carb, gear kit, good exhaust (not scorpion) You could try a cam but it's your call. The Malossi 4v is extortionately expensive.

I can't remember if the leader is 3 or 4 valve? Isn't the AC leader 3 and LC 4?

    I think latest A/C leaders are 3v, old et4's are 2v, L/C 4v !

Well gone for mallosi 218cc cylinder kit
Mallosi big valve head & cam.
    Yasuni can.
Wondering about changing veriator and jetting, the stock 200cc as a small main jet then the 125. 90 against 98. I'm thinking 105 main and maybe one up on needle jet. Or can the needle be raised a clip. Not even looked in the carb yet.
