ok ive got some new grips and i wanted to know how to fit them. i know you have to take bar ends off and then slide off the left side but isnt the throttle grip more difficult?

hairspray is a good trick, lubricates it when you spray it on and dries sticky/holds grip in place

hair spray, not washing up liquid. hair spray lubricates it enough to get the grip on then sets hard.

me and my bro took the whole throttle off because we needed it off anyways and dipped it in hot water till the grip came off...

And if you don't have hairspray to put them on you can always use water but it takes a while to dry

your titles wrong then isn't it!! tut tut, see what happens if you ain't specific.....

to take em off can heat with hot water, or just cut em off.

when fitting i use a spray hair gel, then once there on use wire wraps (mx thing, use wire to wrap around and secure the grip to the bars) or if you can be boverd go and buy sum grip glue.

I'd get someone to help you, one push and one pull and the little buggers go straight on, at least they did for me. Failing that use hairspray, always worked on my bmx anyway :p

Grip glue dosent work, I tried renthal glue on my ktm. It sticks good to plastic but not metal.

Hairspray is by far the best and it wont need tieing wire

    your an idiot then looool

use tieing wire its much easier than having to let petrol dry or hairspray dry.

so when your changing grips before a meet you sit and wait for shit to dry??

Scince when did I change my grips before every meetin?

And petrol takes seconds to dry, quicker than putting grip wire on.

The thing I don'y understand. I use petrol for putting my grips on at motocross, which i have done for 6/7 years, and i have never known my grips to melt. Must be weaker petrol in the midlands <--- :confused:arc:

must be shitty plastic grips you use.

also what happens if a spot of this petrol gets in your kill switch?

    ker BOOM :w00t:

i suppose everyone has their own methods, for competition i use lockwire, for road use just hair spray
