Honda Vision 110 windshield glare

Hi all,
I have just recently got on my scooter after passing my IBT training and decided to buy a windshield for my Honda Vision 110, mainly due to the windy conditions that generally prevail over here in the emerald isle.
I decided to go for the genuine Honda part, which was a lot dearer but is supposedly specially designed for my bike. However as much as it does a good job in buffering me from the wind it has a terrible glare which includes my speedo, added clock and must annoyingly my florescent learners bib, which is mandatory to wear over here.
I am totally new to riding scooters or indeed motorcycles of any kind and would greatly appreciate your comments or tips.
