not a scoot but a project none the less. got it cheap and then it got blown over in a storm :bye:. been sitting around the garage for a while so its time to rebuild and sell :good: . so far starting to strip down to clean polish and paint. new pans  :hitit: just need to paint the rims and tank to match. erm t3rr0s pedo bear approve photo shop skills ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Update... Sneaky edit by tErr0. Will get fire to write something. Shit pic of the exhaust before will have a picture of it looking nice on the next update. A little while later. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Excuse the crappo pics. Was mega dark. Camera was working over time to do these pics. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- almost there dont diss my granny gloves there mens i swear  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Getting there slowly. Fucking old ass pile of shit. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Poor pic as I didn't bother to have my proper cam with me. The panels are just sitting on there at the moment. We didn't actually have enough nuts and bolts to fit them but we do now so next update all the panels will be fitted properly.
Re: vfr 400 project Hehe nice projet. Nice looking swingarm. Glad you went for those panels rather than those tiga panels. So knowing t3rr0 he will clean and polish everything so it comes up like new........is he doing it for your bike? Doubt it lol.
Re: vfr 400 project cheers jeff. me and t3rr0 will have it in tip top shape before it goes to a new home. gotta love a single side swinger :good: , yeah im not keen on those pans, prefer the standard items too my self
Re: vfr 400 project them tiga's make the bike look alto newer cratch: either way i love these little vfrs make it good
Re: vfr 400 project yeah they do make it look newer...... but then its no longer looks like a nc30 ale:
Re: vfr 400 project u look like u dussin on them pans wat r they 172 ? makin ur head go all swirly n shit can imagine this gna come out nice if its goin 4 a rite price may have 2 b my first big bike
Re: vfr 400 project My old man just sold his one to my mate, I had a few rinses on it, their quality little bikes. Nice an revvy  Why you selling?
Re: vfr 400 project i had 5 bikes purple and only really want two lol. ideally i want the typhoon and a 600, so the zip and vfr400 have to go unfortunately. its a j reg with 12 thousand miles on the clock so its hardly been used ( less then a thousand miles a year :write: ), it was in pretty good condition when i got it, it just had tatty fairings and needed the rim re-powder coated. how much did your dad sell his for??
Re: vfr 400 project He picked it up for 850 (not sure on the exact mileage but g-reg and 20k+) but it had a screen that looked permantly fogged up, very faded seats and needed new chain and sprockets.... It did have mint panels though. He bought it to do up and get back into bikes I think but never got round to it, so a year or two later he sold it to my mate for 750 with the screen and sprockets sorted, and even a spare engine hock: So he lost out big time really, never understood his logic behind that bike..... Im not too clued up on the value of them so not sure how good or bad the deals were.
Re: vfr 400 project they range so much depending on mileage, condition, reg etc, then you have the cbr which is very similar (different configuration etc) and the uk versions the rvf which is a fair bit more expensive. your friend got a good deal of your pups b, they usually go for a grand +, so a good condition one for 750 its a bargain. not sure how much i want for mine, credit crunch aint helping profit margins .
Re: vfr 400 project They are pretty much all fucked remember. Fibreglass is bent all sort of weird. Were just going to go in the bin as soon as we got all the bits off them?
Re: vfr 400 project gwan fire. love these, only thing that put me off buying one was that it's a v twin. neverless they are quality little beasts. will be watching this closely mate :good:
Re: vfr 400 project tiny update... (no pics soz it got to dark by the time we got finished) its had a nice clean and me and t3rr0 were.... well confused/surprised to find there is a suspiciously new bike hiding under all the grime, it was like digging for dinosaurs each wipe was like "oh shit look what iv discovered!.... this sprockets basically brand new cratch: " so a whole tin of my auto glym engine degreaser (t3rr0!) and half a tin of chain cleaner later and its starting to come around, .next up is spray the pipes (v4 configuration is a pain in the arse to get to the pipes, so im painting them to stop rust build up). . some t3rr0 tlc for the end can :good: . wheels of to the powder coaters (any one got a single side swingarm paddock stand they wana borrow me :beg:  ) .and a lazy polish of all the metal bits (swingarm, frame, rear sets etc etc) (as you can see from the pics there's a lot of metal you could polish and not even t3rr0 likes doing it that much hock: ) more soon :good:
Re: vfr 400 project i can bring the sander/buffer down an get to work on it? will be worth twice my wages on the sale? LOL
Re: vfr 400 project fibreglass can take a new shape, just takes time.. im planning on cutting the vent/light sections out and using only those anyway not the etnire pannels..
