Cross-posted on motorcycle forum Hi I bought a second-hand (fifth hand) Honda SH300 about a month ago that had just had an MOT. It is 12 years old. Been sitting over a month due to UK weather. Tried to start today, supported by a booster battery. When I took the bike off the stand the scooter started fine. Now when I try to start, the bike does not turn over. The lights, indicators and horn are all working. I notice the ABS light and the oil pressure lights stay on when the bike is switched on at the ignition. I hadn't noticed that before - and it may not be significant. Any ideas why it started once and now no turn over? Thanks Clive
Hi It's a dodgy ignition switch. I will take it out next week and see if I can give it a clean with electrical contact cleaner or just replace it. Clive
