    hi everyone,

normally I do mk2 golfs but recently I stumbled across a pic of a stretched/'fatty' scooter and was hooked immediately. Now a couple of weeks later I'm the proud owner of about 80% of a 2003 neos 50 (it was a donor bike) which I'm trying to make whole again and hopefully tweak it just a wee bit in the process.

I keep ending up on this forum when I'm looking for answers about my scoot and by now even my biker friends are bored of me wittering on about scooters so I figured it was time to sign up and find some like minded peeps.

    *waves hello*

    Welcome to the forum.
That is not a bad bike to start with. It can be tuned quite nicely.
Minarelli engine, same as the Aerox.
    You'll have fun with it.

thank you :) It's a bit (a lot) rough round the edges but i'm already quite attached to it and hopefully it'll scrub up ok. it also seems like it perhaps wasn't the absolute worst type of scooter to buy which makes a pleasant change for me \o/. Still lots to do though.

I'm not so fussed about tuning it right away since i think I can only ride up to 50cc/A class on my car license at the moment so until I've done my cbt and whatnot I can't really make it quicker but it's nice to know the potential is there. Besides it'll take me a while to get used to it so prob best if it's not too quick initially. At the moment I'm mostly just making sure things are actually attached properly and figuring out how to shoehorn the wide rear wheel in there...
