I'm not sure, they are pretty old, ive got some polini 4.5g rollers coming along with the air filter foam and a new cdi in about half an hour.
get that fookin foam in the filter! it'll be running so lean it puts bob marley to shame. my aerox did a kinda similar thing when i had a jet 15 sizes too big init
right ive got the new rollers and foam in, still same when giving it throttle i cas see the clutch spinning inside the clutch bell but the clutch bell does not move
bike will pull off with rollers even if to heavy or to light, sounds like clutch not engaging, was the bike running ok when you got it
It was a none starter, its actually a zip SP but the watercooled engine was ruined so I put a spare zip aircooled engine i had in the bike, this is the first time ive had it all up and running properly, the only problem is the clutch. I do actually have another clutch but the pads on it look even more worn than the other one. What should I do?
There both pretty worn if im honest should I just replace the clutches? Only problem is, I lost my 36m socket last night!
Only problem is I literally have no money, I'm gunna have to make one of these clutches work until I get some money. The shit thing is, my mates selling his brand new not even used mallossi clutch for 30 quid...
it could be a combination of stiffer clutch springs and worn shoes, I'd try the other springs first or just swap the whole thing if there as bad a each other, you got nothing to loose, well maybe another socket
Ill swap the whole clutch for the other one and hopefully that works, if not I'll have to find 30 quid and get this malossi clutch of my mate.
Hey, First thing first. Get a piece of foam in your air filter. Otherwise you only have an empty box stuck on your carb. Pointless. The whole point of the filter is stop all the shit going through. You say it revs funny?... What do you mean by that? Revs high? Is the ped all stock except the exhasut (Jetted and rollers set for it already or not?) Why did you strip the engine for?
I've got foam in now, sorted the revs out, thing that was because of the air filter. Ped is stock apart from exhausted, has been upjetted for the exhaust and rollers. Stripped the engine due to the fact loads of parts needed replacing, crank carb etc...
It's now 5:19am, finally got the bike sorted, found out the problem was the exhaust, for some reason it ran fine without the leo vince so I'm guessing thats fucked, just bought a standard zip exhaust for 20 quid which ill get mounted in the morning just to last me until payday then I can get a racing exhaust. But bikes finally on the road I guess! I fucking hate that bike right now, its as if its been mocking me, but ill always love it. Goodnight all.
probably the pipe isnt derestricted so that the engine is not producing enough power to engage the probably stiff clutch springs
