I would buy a manual choke, I think it is very hard to get the jetting correct as you have to wait for the automatic choke to come off, I bought one an it was much better

be careful starting it on full gas, you will cook your rings VERY fast! (google 4 point score 2 stroke) i see it at work a lot, people just get on and ride, at least your aware your doing it wrong:) try changing your autochoke, we use just the cheap chinese made ones at work, dont bother with genuine as the price is double and its the same part. hope you get it sorted

The erratic revs for the first 20 seconds I've put down to the belt slipping. Is this a clutch problem. Ie needs the centre spring replacing?

No but the bikes brand new and the problems only started since the new exhaust. I know exhaust can cause all sorts of problems. I'll buy an auto choke anyway. Well the bike is still under warrenty!

We'll both problems sorted the high rev low rev etc was the belt slipping. The small washer that came with the polini variator that goes between the variator was very thin the original derestricted washer (slightly thicker) has now eliminated the belt slip at start up. The idle screw needed an 1/8 of a turn clockwise now it idles perfectly!

    Thanks for the help.
