have you got a hein gericke store near you ? there new stuff comes out end of feb normally sell the old stock off i got a agv stealth in black £120 reduced from £240 in the last sale
That Jag helmet in black on ebay looks almost identical apart from the vents ont he jaw peice to my nitro helmet which I paid £100 for. The nitro one has always been comfortable enough for me, I will be looking to spend more next time round though.
lids please make sure its the right size as well,a poorly fitting helmet can be lethal!!! my forehead still wears the scars from a crash i had in the eighties.
*shakes head in disbelief* Do you have any idea how much it would hurt a business if they were to sell substandard items? The liability claims would kill it off in one hit on safety items such as helmets. If you are in any doubt regarding the quality of these JAG helmets then why not ring the manufacturer direct and ask them any questions you like. If they were shite then ask yourself, would Littlewoods sell them for £115? http://www.littlewoods.com/rf/navigatio ... =424133772 I personally had to buy 4500 of these so I could offer them out as a good deal at under £40.00 Would you have more confidence if the price was the same as Littlewoods charge? Whether you buy one or not, dont be fooled into thinking that the Caberg, AGV etc are any better. They all go through the same tests and the JAG's are FIBREGLASS and not POLYCARBONATE (Thermoplastic, Alloy Resin Etc..). I could sell you a KBC for £99.99 that is no better than these JAG Predators. As mentioned above, the BEST thing you can do is to actually go out and try them all for size/fit and MAKE SURE that the SHOP ASSISTANT actually MEASURES your head rather than letting you decide which size feels the best fit. Helmets always "bag off" after an initial wearing period so go for as snug a fit as you can bear (without going into the headache zone) then after it bags off it will still fit you. At the end of the day, whatever you do... RIDE SAFE!! (Fast if you like but SAFE).
i bought a matt blue 'ixs' helmet with no bs sticker, just a 'l-60/ gr 1390+50 sticker on the back, cost me £30 with a black visor. bought simply because i liked the look of it i always used to say 'for fuck sake, its a layer of fibreglass and polystyrene between your head and the floor, if you drop it once what difference will it make, etc etc...' i went straight over the bars of me jog doing 55 clock speed on an A road, flew and face planted the floor, the helmet wasnt done up at the time and my head went foward and i popped my nose lol all the plastic gizmo's popped off, its got some hefty scuffs on the front but it didnt split in half at 100mph plus id be worried, but on a scoot any lid should be fine, gonna buy a takashi flip front when ive got a spare £100 tho lol sam
Wait a while before you get one of those, Takachi are soon to be going out very cheap due to the distributor changing the helmet brand to Duchinni... ... or buy a cheaper Nitro F347 / F346 (its the same lid under a different brand)...
i went through 2 nitro lids within a year as the padding just kept wearing in so quickly and as it had been dropped a few times.
just bought a caberg v2 mod104 and have to say the flip down sun-shade is good. Bought it to replace my 5 year old xpeed, which was the quitest helmet I have worn. Came with a motrax promotion bag of goodies (fleece lined helmet bag, neck-warmer/bandana and a sturdy bum-bag, shit that sounds like I,m getting ready for a nite at the local gay bar :banana and the entire lining can be taken out and washed. Any helmet that carries the bs or gold sticker will offer(at least) the minimal protection required by law but only if you get the correct size and wear it in the right position.
the takeshi you bought i got for 32 quid standard rate... no sales, no blagging. you got bumped. i wouldent use oen of these helmets above 70mph tho...
