Hello from a newbie

I have never been on a bike until I did the CBT training beginning of Jan.. then got my first bike few weeks later! I was nervous of the corners.. had visions of falling off HAH!

You don't even need to balance, that's the good thing, when your at speed you just lean etc
I used to ride 50cc dirt bikes and my mates mopeds so a little experience

 

That is what I've learnt... ... practice makes perfect! You have a lot more experienced than me ;D

 

Not much tho lol, my mate used to come down and see me and I'd just take his keys and go for a ride lmao

His was a Chinese import and all standard so it's a bit different

 

I hear bad things about Chinese bikes ... when I was looking for a bike I like the retro look and looked at few but kept being told to stay wayyy clear... Did he have any problems with it?

 

Same, I was gonna get one, everyone said as soon as the warranty runs out they break lmao, and he had loaaadddsssss!
I got a 9 year old bike, it's been running that long it's got more years to come

 

Ahh so everyone was probs right then... I was told a year and then it will start falling apart... We saw one that was by a brand new one and it was onyl a year old and literally looked awful, so much rust and like it was going to die any second... So I thought get the proper retro looking bike and it will last longer and not die lol

 

Sounds about right lol,
More reliable scooters like Vespas hold their value too, plus it's easier to get parts for a common name than Chinese imports

 

Exactly thats what I thought they hold the value as well ... I looked into it ALOT! Chinese seemed like a waste of money , they are cheaper but then problems start happening , trying to fix it will be nightmare and expensive. So get the real deal, spend more money and it's more reliable!

 

Yep, that's exactly what I done!
My brother stripped it bare, made a list of everything that needed doing, done it all properly, then moved onto stuff I wanted doing like the visuals
Wouldn't of been able to do that with an import lol

 

No way would you of been able to! It probs would of cost you a kidney as well! lol

i went to look at a cheap chinese ped, ad seemed ok bike looked ok. get there and the guy says the rings are shot

never mind. opened the door to my piaggio
