Headlights on a honda FES125 s-wing

Can anyone tell me what is the full headlight sequence on this scooter as I have only one headlight lit and the only time they both light together is when I hit the passing switch. Is this normal? I've seen pictures of the scooter with only one light lit but I find it a bit odd.

 

Hi I’ve got the same issue on the same scooter , trying to find out if this is normal or not. Low beam one light comes on and high beam the other light comes on , never both on at the same time ?

 

It's normal to have one light lit, does it swap over to main beem ?
