any modification is trial and error mate, always the way unfortuantely but you will get somewhere in the end
ang on, this is a 50 right? in wich case you can l;oose the switch and just put a 2 position switch to both lights (on and off) you dont need dipped full and sides on a moped.. meerly lights. my typh lights are 3 stage, but are set to permanantly on when the engine starts.. saves forgetting them and no fookin about with 3 diff light curcits
it doesn't have side lights mate...it does on the 100cc but not the 50. it has a high beam and a low beam...and according to the MOT it needs both to pass it.
ahh i thought it was the same for all motorcycles! thanks for clearing that up.....i really think i'm best off doing two dipped beams that operate at the same time...i'll get to work tonight! cheers
honestrly m8... best way is just point one down then have the other high.. low one on for dipped and both on for full beam....
what i think i''l do is as you say... but the dipped beam i'll leave with the metal plate in...so it actually makes it dip.... and on the full beam side, i'll remove that plate so it gets a full shine....but like you say have both on at the same time for the full beam. i've cut up the lights now....using my trusty soldering iron....it's so good for plastic jobs where you need to cut into intricate places...just melt it apart. i've got to now widen the gap a bit, and than secure the reflector cone at the rear....secure the backing plate...got to make my own screw holes somehow... than secure the front piece on....removing the extension i put on...got to take it into DT tomorrow to use the belt sander to get the bottom flat. plastic weld it all together....and then it should be ok  damn why's it got to be so much hard work :rtfm:
