couple simple questions.. will it rev, do the revs stay flat? do you know what rpm it is hitting max at any given speed?
id put this down to rollers deffo just need to figure if there too heavy or too light, so answer the couple q's above and i can help more

yeah the revs pretty much stay flat, seems to drone on and stay around the same amount of revs all the way to 25, then it just sits there. I dont know about rpm's as my scoot does not have a rev counter.

With the old size 70 jet the revs increased very slowly up until about 35mph, at which point it would suddenly rev higher with an acceleration increase up to around 45mph. It was very underpowered though and lost a lot of speed up hills.

Ok ive been and fiddled with the mix and its hitting 30 now and getting there slightly quicker but its still very slow off the mark, the revs drop when I twist the throttle, it slowly gets to about 10mph and then the revs kick in a bit and it accelerates slightly faster to about 30 where it stays.

It went to 45mph down a hill but no chance of that on flat.

its a mid race pipe, similar to bolting a c16 on a standard barrel

ur pipe would work wonders on my setup though ;)

I dont know what a c16 is, never mind what would happen if you put one on a standard barrel :emb:

basically the pipe works best at high RPMs would work on your barrel just not to its full potential, maybe invest in a 70 kit?? if you can find one for your bike??

    ahhh i get you.

Yeah theres a 70kit for my bike but i'm going to fit a jog r engine when its been through its m.o.t next week. The engine I have is basically the same as a jog-r engine, just the engine case is shorter on mine and so I can only get a 10 inch wheel on the back.

Unfortunatly I dont think I can afford the new engine and the 70kit together so i'll have to leave the kit until next month.

How many clutch springs have you tried?

On my brothers neos a while ago we tried all the clutch springs and it wern't till we tried the last set that it ran right. The others just made it not even move preety much, wouldn't pull at all.

Ive only tried the green polini springs as instructed by several people on here. Other than that its only had the standard ones in.

What would happen if the springs were too weak or too strong?
