that's the look i'm going for but not lowered 60mm just 40mm, but yeah i see what your saying fire, at the end of the day your car reflects what sort of person you are, don't want some really old wreck but want somthing sleek and tidy with tastefull mods, not lowered 80mm with full bodykit and respray in pearl white lol and a stupid engine conversion just problem with the polo is i hate the rear lol the bumper is way too big hopefully debadging the rear makes it look abit nicer eh

in the same respects, you're pretty much making the same point as "no point modding a 50, as you're only gonna get a 172 or a car" its kinda silly, and not all people that debadge are chavs haha, my car doesnt have any badges on it, but im not a chav

it is silly chucking money at a first car, but debadging is free and as minor said, a set of coilovers for these things is like 180 quid delivered, thats a 172 kit

lol, its a stealthy fucker for what it is, ive beaten loads of cars that should be faster, 1.4 golf, 1.4 polo, 106s, saxos etc, but yeh it is a bit of a young drivers car for me now (im still young, but you know what i mean)

na, basically i seen minors topic and fell in love with it tbh, i thought to myself find a 3door model in silver or black or blue and lower and rims, and i'll be sweet, looking on forums and wow i've fell in love lol any extra money i get from selling nrg i'm starting an car fund, how ever i earn my mum will doulbe it, and insuring one is going to be fucking expensive so i best start LOL!

after 1997+ 6n 8v tbh 1.4 probs so nippy enough as a first car and bearable for 2 years

and fire, coilovers do make cars faster in most instances, round corners etc. but i do get what you're saying.

swifts right, if you took 2 std cars to a race track, fitted a filter and chavved up back box etc to one....and coilovers to the other, the one with the coil overs would be the quicker car over a timed lap

 

id assume mr greg isn't going to take his 1st car to a race track,
or be putting it round corners at a speed where they will make a difference to justify the need to spend £200ish quid (that buys a lot of petrol or other expendables),

put it this way, modding a car ISN'T cheap, it's far from... & if you tell your insurance it just makes it a whole lot more expensive.. as for that polo, that's had alot more than 300 spent on it

it's been lowered, badge-less grill on it etc, most probably an exhaust, maybe a little bit of camber put on the wheels to get the stance right? (thus meaning his tyres don't last long haha)

you've gotta be careful with your first car.. (i'll throw a pic of mine up when i find one)

like i said on like the first page - don't go crazy, do something sensible, get a diesel, 5 door, that way it's ALOT cheaper to insure (my mate pays half the price on basically the same bloody car :banghead: )...

then when you're 21 and have a few years NCB then go nuts as your insurance will be FAR FAR FAR cheaper...

and you lot who're hating alloys... lol @ you's , your wheels are a MASSIVE part in a car, they either make or break it... right wheels and your car will look amazing, wrong ones and it will just look pants..

anything decent wheel wise is going to cost atleast £100 a corner, if your buying brand spankers

you may get wheels cheaper 2nd hand though...

and yeahh tuning or modding cars aint cheap, tuning scooters is much cheaper, and we all know how pricey that can be hock:
