Old school vx 125. The ignition barrel is bust as it doesn't turn efficiently with the key in. I've only got the red gilly key. I need a new barrel and key set but, do I need to buy a new cdi or bypassed cdi with new keys? What options do I have?

The brown key is the master key right? (Which I don't have).

With the key fully inserted in the barrel, one/two teeth slightly stick up which doesn't allow it to turn properly in the fitted housing the barrel sits in - is there anyway to fix this?

Take the barrel out, insert the key and file off the tumblers that stick up or remove them and leave the rest.
The downside to this is that any key will end up fitting the lock.
Or replace the barrel with a new one and replace the cdi with an immobliser bypass one.

What you mean the key will end up fitting the lock?

As steveP said if you file/take out the pins that stick out then ANY key might work to start your bike. If i got that right.

Cdi alone isn't going to cure your sticky key problem, you need a new barrel as well. Just a standard barrel, doesn't need to be coded to the cdi or anything like that.
