While I have all the plastic off, was wondering if I can check / gap/ adjust the valve clearances with the motor still in the frame ? Looking at the head and the rocker cover, it seems very tight. I have the rear shock off too, so can lift the rear of the bike up and give a bit more clearance...is this do-able or is this an engine out job>?
I cant find the clearances n the original manual...any idea what they are? I am in the workshop now, just getting rocker cover off but can't find the figures? And to make matters worse..one of the rocker cover bolts has snapped off...thankfully a top one that is easy to access...but now the BluePoint Easy our bolt extractor has snapped off in the old bolt too!! Oh FFS !!!
OK, got the old bolt out..but any one got the clearances for me...the internet searches have drawn a blank so far
