By the way Turbo your advise on the porting was awesome we ported the new cylinder how you said. The ports were burred and awful on the new kit. Thanks again Gaz

Good job ! It really will make a difference to the life of the rings - and the performance too. Props for having the balls to go for it ! Putting a whirring dremel inside a new barrel for the first time can be a little unsettling.

Great news to hear, but did you manage to tie it down to any one specific thing at all?
    Just wondering..........

We think it was the cylinder and head. We bought the bike second hand and it had been messed about with. We changed the head and cylinder for a new NGF 70 kit and bang off we went new rollers and belt new contra spring and clutch springs all good now. We had poor compression on the old kit but we are getting over 130psi on this kit. Sqiush band on this kit is 0.72mm she runs really well now,

Thats good, didn't work with the one I had in though; put a new piston and barrel on that and it was still the same.
Heyho, probably never find out now, until the next one comes in;)

Hi the squish is very important we didn't know this. The squish on bikes 50cc to 80cc need a sqish of 0.6mm to 0.8mm it makes a massive differance mate
