gilera runner conversion

well a bottom end rebuild on a 125 is 200 quid in parts, along with the labour and the fact you need a waterpump kit.

you do the math, ring the bloke.

 

water pump is on the left side, if its leaking from the right its down to the liquid inlet pipe near the flywheel. that should come out without a case split if i remember right, 2 screws and it pull out, has on O ring around it (probably trashed). you MIGHT get away with it with a replacment.

look at the picture of my lump, there is the inlet pipe, theses a screw on it. that where its coming from?

 

yes that is the side it is coming from i didnt have a proper look though as i see it leaking water and got pissed off then kicked the bike over lol aint touched it since.

 

right so do taday i sorted out the leak from the right side of the engine and the hole in the rad. but now it is leaking water from where the spark plug :wtf: do i need a new head gasket?

You need some balls mate to get on the phone to the knob that sold this engine to you without telling you its fucked!

But Yes, new gasket/check waterjacket isnt warped. Check all gakets on topend.

 

did ring him said he moved to austrailla and the was fine when he sold it to me and wasnt going to give me my money back and it was too far for him to come fix it :rtfm: well i know where he lives it aint too far from me

where can i get new gaskets from and what gaskets would i need :emb:

 

does anyone know the standard carb setup??

back to square one its not sparking again it was yesterday untill it started then blew the fuse. i changed the fuse and spark plug and still nothing. what could be causing it not to spark??

 

also it sounded like something was sparking before it cut out

Did you try a new plug after it blew the fuse ??

Maybe you might need a new cap and a plug :unsure:
