Gilera 26bhp , was ZEST gilly, 2 stroke oil help

what you mean wobbly . yes that dragster was nice . yeh Swift ill have a look , but the bit ware the nuber normally is on them engines is blank but no signs of fileing , looks like the casings have just come out the mold. yes it has vx200 panels but looks nice if you lot want i post pictures, but i dont no how., MINOR what do u rekomend i do if it not setup proply. cheers

ok the thing is i have run different oils in my bikes and in fairness when people have said dnt mix this and that well if your bike needs oil it needs oil simple as i have mixed my oils and i got a fully specd 172 typh and it has not gone bang or over heated but in fairness i will list some of the oils i have used what have been ok to me
no 1 is texaco 2 stroke being £5.50 not a bad oil had no trouble
putoline personally i thinks its a rip off for what they charge and y da fuck do you want to smell strawberrys out of your fucking exhaust you got to be a crackhead to stand der sniffin your exhaust
no 3 is castrol tts a very good oil one thing i did notice and minor sed this aswell i did find the bike to feel smoother so it is a good performing oil also on the list which was ok for £6 was shell helix this is also a good oil a lot of the petrol station oils i have tried have been problem free
i also added a additive from germany to my fuel and oil a freind had it wasent sure what it was called but seemd to aid smoothness with the texaco oil besides i always premix i dnt trust auto lube to much but on my 183 i will be premixing always i will try other oils aswell the next i will try is agip and mobil one just to see the difference because you do notice differences with the oils hope this helps

yeh i used that castrol super tt shit , so that will be all rite for 1 tank of petrol definautly yeh , cheers tho for the 2 stroke advise lol

 

castrol TTS and castrol super TT are 2 different oils!!!

I always use TTS myself with zx1 friction reducer added...mainly because my bottom end has been rumbling since last summer....and it rumbled much less with zx1 in the oil...

ive used zx1 for many years in various capris...and i had a bit left in the shed so tried it in the Runner just out of curiosity really!!!

The engine ran much smoother and quieter straight away, so i carried on useing it...infact i cant understand how the engine still goes after all this time and a 70 kit as well :w00t:

nice tip dave any one know the ratios for 183cc what is it for like 5 litres of fuel there are jugs on ebay but personally getting the mix rite is essential

 

i put to every 1 litre of petrol 20ml of 2 stroke in my gilly so to make it eazy in a petrol garage it roughly £1 of petrol equals 1litre dont it so if you put a fiver in it will be 100ml of 2 stoke so if ur bike fully specd it will be round that mark

 

so i got mugged off, whata wannnka lol

 

from what i know of that runner it aint all that bad..and it looks in good nick too..

as for zests old dragster there was nowt wrong with that either..i had a go on it and it was FUCKIN FAST... i think the cases have snapped but it was a 33bhp scooter being used everyday on road..and its all being sorted for the summer

The runner you guys are all talking about (some of you shit) is a top class fresh clean runner well it was and last i heard it was. The bike started off its life from new in the hands of my cousin who lives in gosport hampshire he owned that runner (180) from new until late 2006 i think when it was sold to zest and when it was sold it was in mint condition used only to drive to and from work by a non boy racer type ryder anyway MINOR was there when the bike was brought and he drove it home back to london so he can tell you bike was a minter himself as for the rest of the story goes i myself got in touch with kings lyn center ware i brought a 26bhp DYNO'D engine which was used in x-race a few times which would do 14/15 sec q-mile times which i brought at £500 to sell on at a profit which i did the same day to zest at £600 i think but cant be sure. Now as for the engine having no numbers the engine was brought from piaggio brand new and these engines come as standard with no numbers but the engine is all legal and was sold to me with all documents which i passed on to zest when i sold him the engine. As for over heating etc etc i no that some one rode the engine without turning on the water pump which caused the engine to fuck up a bit on last years isle of wight rally after that i dont no what has been going on with that bike but all i no is that that runner is a straight clean runner and is worthy every penny and just cos some one does a few wheelies here and there and then posts them on you tube dont make a scooter batterd also the pannels were changed cos the first ones got a slight few marks near the front lenses but apart from that the scooter is a straight good bike and for people to post ..lol...comments about it aint got a clue about what or ware that bike has been or done in the first place!!

As for the dragster casings breaking what do any of you expect when you have some fool like fastlane on a 34bhp dragster rinsing out the bike all day long wheelies the lot and going on long rides thrashing the hell out of it corse its going to snap or have sort sort of problems or over heat and blow up.

 

yeh das what im sayin i aint gonna buy the bike if it was a ringer , the bikes clean and fresh i luv it , it was well looked after , he said he only used the bike 500 miles. and its setup well. but some people claim they no the bike and know him yet they only seen it on you tube lol . and james is correct on the issue of broken engine cases , fastlane rinsed the dragster , thats why fastlane runner is fresh he never rides the fookin fing he always on the draggy,
